Launch of RWC2019 Ticket Sales and Tourism Website

RWC2015

Exciting developments in the world of Rugby World Cup 2019, with the launch of JNTO’s dedicated tourism website, and ticket sales set to start in early 2018.

Japan’s Rugby World Cup will kick off on 20 September 2019 and see 20 nations play 48 matches over six weeks at 12 venues spread across the country, from Sapporo in the north to Kumamoto in the south, with the final at the Yokohama Stadium on 2 November 2019.

The tournament will be ground-breaking for a number of reasons - as the first ever rugby world cup to be held in Asia, the first time that consecutive tournaments will be staged in the same hemisphere, and the first Rugby World Cup to be held outside rugby’s traditional heartland.

Preparations for the tournament are already well underway, with the recent launch of JNTO’s dedicated RWC2019 tourism website and match ticket sales set to begin in January 2018.
