British Airways to Launch Direct Route to Osaka's Kansai International Airport
British Airways will launch the only direct flight between London and Osaka early next year, opening up new opportunities for incentive and conference organisers.
Operations on the new route will commence on 31 March 2019, departing from Heathrow Terminal 5 and landing into Osaka's Kansai International Airport (KIX). With four flights per week, the service will increase the daily number of flights between London and Japan offered by British Airways and joint partner Japan Airlines to 32 per week.
Japan Airlines will offer a code share on the new service and the route will be operated by one of British Airways' newest aircraft, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. Special return fares will begin from £599 in World Traveller, £999 in World Traveller Plus, and £2499 in Club World.
Kansai International Airport serves the entire Kansai region of Japan, including Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe. A direct flight from London to Osaka now makes it even easier for incentives to experience both the modern capital of Tokyo and the traditional capital of Kyoto, with direct flights in and out of these cities available. Conference organisers also now have even more choice for venues with direct access, including the brand-new convention centre set to open in Nara in 2020.For more information: http://mediacentre.britishairways.com/pressrelease/details/86/2018-247/10125
